For installation requiring high tensile and elongation characteristics along with superior abrasion resistance. Gum rubber provides a soft rubber seal. Conforms to irregular flanges with bolt heads. Resists most organic salts, acids, alkalis, and ammonia. Non-marking. Tensile strength to 3000 PSI. Durometer 40+/-5. elongation 600%. Temperature range -20F to 140F. Smooth Finish. Natural rubber functions well in temperatures ranging from -60°F to +175°F. Natural rubber should not be used in applications that involve petroleum derivatives or exposure to chemicals.
